Ways to Bid
There are two types of auctions available for bidding, Live and Timed.
- Live auctions are real time sales that allow you to watch the auction in progress and participate during the sale. The date and time you see listed for Live sales are the time the auction begins. You can place an absentee bid on a lot in a live sale, up until the time that lot is opened for live bidding. If you are the highest absentee bidder, our system will place your bids automatically, one increment higher than the last in-room bid, until we have reached your maximum bid.
- Timed auctions are internet-only auctions that are run for a set duration and available for absentee bidding only. These auctions allow you to place bids until the scheduled end time for a particular lot. Whoever has the highest bid when the time runs out wins the lot. The date and time you see listed for Timed auctions are the time that bidding on the first lot ends.

Preview days
The auction room and website present lots going under the hammer two weeks prior to the auctions. Each auction: live or timed is listed in Upcoming Auctions. There is a downloadable PDF of our catalogue in Thai and English for each auction. The catalogue includes photos and description of each lot and includes the starting bid price.
To bid online/Absentee bidding
First create an account by registering online, proof of Identity and residence are required by sending us a copy of government-issued photo identification (ID card for Thai citizens or passport for foreigners) showing your full name, photo, and date of birth. If your address is not shown on the ID document, please provide proof of your current address (utility bill or bank statement). Pre-registration is required for bidding online at least 3 working days before the auction day. Please note that we may only provide your access to the online bidding after receiving all documents requested and your total bid amount will be limited to 300,000 THB, if you wish to increase this bid limit, please contact RCB Auctions.
To bid in person
If you would like to bid on the auction floor, please provide your personal details ID or Passport before receiving a bidding paddle at the registration desk. If you have not previously registered with RCB Auctions, you will be required to provide your personal information (name, address, contact information and copy of your ID or Passport). A deposit of 50,000 THB will be requested for those who bid on floor.
Telephone bidding
You can bid by telephone on the day of the live auction. This needs to be arranged in advance, during the preview period for the live auction. To make arrangements, please download and complete the telephone bid form and email it to [email protected] or telephone (+66) 02 237 0077 ext. 459/460.
