Antique glassware circulating in Thailand was acquired from traders of Europe and the Middle East since the Ayutthaya period (1350 to 1767). During the reign of King Rama 6, the aristocracy who frequently visited Europe would return with glassware and adopted its use into their dining etiquettes.
